Fire destroys Greasy Cove Road home

Published: 10:49 AM, 12/29/2011

A late morning fire on Wednesday forced a Greasy Cove Road family into the cold, but others in the family are going to provide a temporary home. Elmer Shults was standing along a gravel road leading to his frame home that was engulfed in flames and smoke shortly after 11 a.m. He said the fire started on the second floor, and the family was alerted by a young man living with them.
