people have said they suffered from fraudulent loaning at Cash Express in Newport, the Newport
Police Department reported.
A total of eight
people this week said an employee or employees charged their accounts with additional loan amounts
they neither asked for, nor received.
More fraudulent loan cases at
Cash Express are expected, according to one source.
The following four
people reported being charged for money they never asked for or saw.
Billy Hance, 41, of Old Sevierville Highway, said on Tuesday, Feb. 18, that when
he went back to Cash Express to make a payment, the clerk informed him that he had two pawn
tickets, Sgt. Billy Woody reported.
