BYBEE—Scott Faulkner, 40, of 2540 Highway 160, in Newport, detained two men he said were carrying tables from his storage trailer, until police arrived and arrested the two, on Thursday, Feb. 6, the Cocke County Sheriff’s Department reported.

Faulkner told Deputy Sheriff Christina Wallen he was alerted that there were two individuals driving a white vehicle that were on his property. It was uncertain if it was business property or a residential property.

Faulkner told Wallen, he caught two males walking out of a trailer, each carrying a table. He said, when the would-be thieves saw Faulkner, they dropped the tables and tried to run, but stopped when Faulkner shouted at them to stop, the report stated.
