COSBY—The Cosby Lady Eagles sent their seniors out with a
blowout win Friday, as they finished their final regular season home game with a 73-29 victory over
Every single player on the Lady Eagles roster scored, and Sydni Johnson
paced Cosby with 12 points.
Seniors Dessie Shaffer and Wendy McGaha finished with nine points.
Freshman Charley Barger also added nine points. Senior Lexiey Williams finished with six points, all
in the first quarter.
"My starters scored 27 points in the first three minutes,"ť Cosby
head coach Richard Coggins said. "It was great for some of the girls that don't get a lot of
playing time to get some good minutes. They came out fired up and ready to play. I thought it
carried over from the Pigeon Forge game. We played really great against Pigeon Forge. I feel like we
should've won that game, but circumstances kept us from it.
"Everybody did their job
tonight. Everybody scored. I'm proud of my team. We have to get ready for a tough Elizabethton
