Suspected captured One of two wanted for felony murder apprehended in Knoxville

NASHVILLE—One of the recent additions to the state's Most Wanted List has been captured in Knoxville on Friday, Jan. 24, according to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI).Rico Derell Sterling, age 24, of Knoxville, was wanted by the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation and the Cocke County Sheriff's Office for one count of Felony Murder, one count of Conspiracy to Commit Aggravated Robbery and one count of Attempted Aggravated Robbery. At approximately 7:15 p.m., officers of the Knoxville Police Department located and arrested Rico Sterling at the River View Park Apartments on River Maple Way in Knoxville without incident. He was transported to the Cocke County jail. Sterling was located due to a tip from the 1-800-TBI-FIND hotline.For more details, please see the Tuesday edition of the Newport Plain Talk.
