NEWPORTóBrianna McClanahan, reigning Cocke County A&I Fairest of the Fair, is prepared to compete next week in Nashville for the title of Tennessee Fairest of the Fair.

The 18-year-old pageant queen is the daughter of Shelly and Scotty Williamson, of Newport, and the late Jerry McClanahan, of Newport.  Her grandparents are Brenda and Jerry McClanahan, also of Newport.  She has two younger brothers, Hunter McClanahan, 15, and Chase Williamson, 13.

McClanahan is a graduate of Cosby High School.  She was a member of both the softball team and the cheerleading squad.  Brianna is now a cheerleader at East Tennessee State University.  The college freshman is majoring in exercise science and minoring in sports medicine with hopes of one day becoming a physical therapist.
