Man retrieves his stolen prosthetic leg

NEWPORT-A man who had his artificial leg stolen from his vehicle received an anonymous tip on the whereabouts of the leg, and retrieved it, the Newport Police Department reported.Teddy C. Dockery, 58, of Sevierville, said someone stole his artificial right leg he valued at $45,000, from his 1993 GMC truck that he left parked at Audrey's Bar on West Highway 25/70, on Tuesday, Dec. 17, Patrolman Josh Holt reported.Dockery told Patrolman Holt that at about 9:30 p.m., a possibly unknown white female and an unknown white male driving a SUV, got inside his unlocked truck and stole his prosthetic leg.For more details, please see the Tuesday edition of the Newport Plain Talk.
