BYBEE-A woman driver who smelled of alcohol, and who had beer in her vehicle, ran off Highway 160, suffered head and other injuries, and was airlifted by helicopter to Johnson City Medical Center, on Tuesday, Dec. 17, the Cocke County Sheriff's Department reported.Christine L. Persails, 50, 1780 Mellow Road, Newport, was listed in "stable" condition this morning, Thursday, Dec. 19, according to an employee at the JCMC.Persails was headed north on Highway 160 when, at about 3:30 p.m., the 1999 Chevrolet Blazer she was driving went off the right side of the highway when she tried to negotiate a curve near Vinson Hollow Road, Lt.
