NEWPORT-The Cocke County Sheriff's Office has continually worked with the Tennessee Governor Highway Safety Office, the office said in a press release announcing a $75,000 safety grant."Our effort has been to protect motorists traveling our county's roadways," said Administrative Capt. Derrick Woods. The Sheriff's Office has just received a $75,140.00 traffic safety grant from the Governor's Highway Safety Office.
