PARROTTSVILLE—The unexpected arrival of a Parrottsville homeowner apparently interrupted an attempted aggravated burglary on Sunday, December 8.

According to Deputy Zach Shelton, officers were dispatched to 2214 Allen’s Chapel Road by Central Dispatch where homeowner Michael Arnold, 39, told them he had shot at a male suspect he discovered standing at his back door when he arrived home that night.

Arnold told officers he "yelled at the man and told him to leave." At that point, according to Shelton’s report, the suspect ran into the weeds behind Arnold’s home.
