NEWPORT-The state attorney general's office confirmed on Friday, Dec. 6, that it has requested an execution date for Nicholas "Nicky" Sutton, 52, one of 10 condemned men on Death Row.Execution dates were requested of the Tennessee Supreme Court for Sutton and nine other inmates on Death Row, according to the state attorney general's office.The
Tennessee Department of Correction could not carry out the 10 executions any sooner because it was allegedly unable to procure all of the drugs used in lethal-injection executions under the old protocol, according to the state attorney general's office.
