NEWPORT—A man allegedly trying to buy an item at Walmart on Thanksgiving Day before the sale time began, caused a scene and ended up being forced to leave the store, the Newport Police Department reported.On Thursday, Nov. 28, officers were working security at Walmart for the Thanksgiving holiday sales, Sgt. Justin Vinson reported.Police were told of a situation involving a 44-year-old man and altercations with a Walmart employee and other customers.For more details, please see the weekend edition of the Newport Plain Talk.
