NEWPORT-Connie Frisbee, human resources manager for Newport Utilities, said the utility hopes to keep its current medical provider, Blue Cross/Blue Shield, and incorporate Health Reimburse Accounts into plans to help reduce premium costs for employees who get health insurance.Frisbee made the comments at the monthly meeting of the NU board, on Tuesday, Nov. 26.Frisbee said that, in terms of budget projections, which accounted for a maximum 12 percent jump in health costs, the current option being considered is below that percentage, and therefore not a budget-buster.For more details, please see the Thursday edition of the Newport Plain Talk.
