Natural gas sales improved in September after a couple of
sluggish years after the recession of 2009, even as the weather has remained
mild and temperatures above normal.
Jefferson Cocke County Utility District (JCCUD) reported
that natural gas (NG) sales rose to 152,328 thousand cubic feet (mcf) during
September compared to less than 140,000 mcf last year.
Residential, commercial, and industrial interruptible sales
were all higher. Residential sales jumped from 65,403 mcf last year to 81,938
mcf this year, April thru Sept.
