Teague asks to withdraw guilty plea

GREENEVILLE-Gary "Trigger" Teague, 46, filed a handwritten motion on his own on Friday, Oct. 25, in which he requests withdrawing his guilty plea, a trial on his drug conspiracy charges, and a new lawyer, federal court documents show.Teague, writing from the Claiborne County Jail in New Tazewell, where he is being housed, addressed the one-page document to the Hon. Judge Leon Jordan of U.S. District Court in Greeneville.In withdrawing his plea and requesting another lawyer, Teague states in the motion that his current attorney, Alexander Brown, misrepresented Teague and lied to him "on numerous occasions," the motion states.For more details, please see the Tuesday edition of the Newport Plain Talk.
