NEWPORT-A dispute concerning what ambulance services can
operate in Cocke County has been put in the hands of attorneys.Members of the Cocke County Public
Safety Committee voted Tuesday to have County Attorney Carter Moore and Morristown attorney Jeff
Taylor, who is representing Cocke County Ambulance Service, attempt to resolve concerns over the
county's ambulance service contract.At
the heart of the debate is the county's contract with First
Call Ambulance, which specifies what ambulance services can operate in the county. Cocke County
Ambulance is allowed to operate. Reportedly, however, part of Cocke County Ambulance Service has
been acquired by Life Care Ambulance Service, with both services operating in the county.For
