NEWPORT—Visitors to the 28th annual Newport Harvest Street Festival will find two major additions to the entertainment scheduled by the Newport/Cocke County Chamber of Commerce.

“We’re just days away from the much anticipated festival,” said Valerie Fancher on Monday as she and staff members hammered out the final details for this year’s event. “The entertainment is going to be wonderful! Headlining our roster will be the bluegrass band Monroeville, rising country music star Dalton Gray, and New Reflections bluegrass band.

“On Sunday, we’ll have contemporary Christian and gospel music, too.”

Matthew Munsey, Monroeville band member, will host a community jam session with his featured group.
