Morristown man charged with three counts of attempted murder

NEWPORT-Stacy Jarrod Porter, of Morristown, has been charged with three counts of attempted murder in connection with a May 7 incident that occurred at the residence of Jeffery Stewart in Parrottsville, the Cocke County Sheriff's Office reports.

Porter was arrested Sept. 5.

He was also charged with especially aggravated burglary and especially aggravated robbery, according to Det. Bryan Murr.

Porter is charged with the attempted murder of Richard Jenkins, Jeffery Stewart, and David Dollar.

Dollar and Stewart allegedly live at 1885 Good Hope Road, in Parrottsville, where a shooting took place. Jenkins lives at 966 Dawn Valley Way, in Parrottsville.
