PARROTTSVILLE-A Charlotte, N.C. woman was airlifted by EMS helicopter to Johnson City Medical Center on Tuesday, Sept. 3, following a two-vehicle wreck at the intersection of Highway 321 and Highway 340 in Parrottsville, the Cocke County Sheriff's Office reported.
Paula Martin, 55, of Charlotte, was a passenger in a 1999
Chevrolet 1500 pickup truck headed south on Highway 321 when, at about 5:30
p.m., a 1995 Jeep Cherokee driven by Connie Sims, 46, of Church Hill, and
headed north on Highway 321, reportedly turned left towards Highway 340 North
and into the path of the Chevrolet, which caused the two vehicles to collide,
according to a report by Deputy Sheriff Joey Owings.
Martin was listed in "stable" condition at JCMC
Wednesday night, Sept. 4, according to a nursing supervisor.
