Fall rabies clinics announced

NEWPORT—Dr. Sandra O’Connor has announced the annual Fall Rabies Clinics will be held during September and early October at various locations throughout Cocke County.

The cost of a one-year rabies vaccination is $8 and a distemper/parvo vaccination is $14.

The first clinics will be on Saturday Sept. 7. The clinic will be a Bridgeport School from 12:30 to 1 p.m., Parrottsville Elementary from 3 to 3:30 p.m. and Centerview Elementary from 5 to 5:30 p.m.

On Saturday, Sept. 14, clinics will be at Smokey Mountain Elementary from 12:30 to 1 p.m., Grassy Fork Elementary from 2:30 to 3 p.m. and Del Rio Nature Center from 4:30 to 5 p.m.

A Cats Only clinic will be held at Cedarwood Veterinary Hospital from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 28.

The final clinics will be Saturday, Oct. 5 at Cosby School from 1 to 2 p.m. and at Edgemont School from 4 to 5 p.m.
