NEWPORT-Elizabeth Blazer, 24, of Blue Ridge Way, in
Newport, said she was assaulted while holding her 11-month-old baby by one of
two people who came to her residence on Sunday, Sept. 1, the Newport Police
Blazer said that at about 8 a.m., a female acquaintance
knocked on the door of her residence, Patrolman Travis Gorrell of the Newport
Police Department reported.
Blazer said when she opened the door, a man identified as
a former acquaintance allegedly forced his way inside her residence, shoved her
onto her couch, choked her, and took her cell phone while screaming at her
"irately", the report stated.
