NEWPORT-As summer winds down, the 2013-2014 school year
kicks into gear, and football teams square off, Cocke County Partnership
officials are hard at work finalizing plans for the 28th Newport Harvest Street
This year's event, planned for the October 5-6 weekend,
will draw craft and food vendors from throughout the area, according to Chamber
of Commerce Director Valerie Fancher.
"Applications for craft and food vendors are
available at our office or online at www.cockecountypartnership.com," said
Fancher. "We're looking forward to welcoming our repeat vendors, along
with new ones who have committed."
Applications are quickly coming in, added Fancher's
assistant, Lynn Ramsey. "We're ahead of where we were this time last
