NEWPORT-Two men who got into a knife-stabbing fight were
injured, and one of them flown by helicopter to the University of Tennessee
Medical Center for treatment of his injuries, the Cocke County Sheriff's
Officers were dispatched to 517 Old Sevierville Highway
on an assault call, on Wednesday, Aug. 14, around 8 p.m., according to a report
by Deputy Sheriff Joey Owings, Sgt. Robert Thornton, and Deputy Sheriffs Heath
Willis and Johnathan Ball.
There they found Christopher Lynn Romines, 36, lying at
the back corner of his trailer with what appeared to be cuts to his face. There
was "blood all over him", according to the report.
Romines allegedly told officers two men and two women had
"jumped" him in his residence. One of the four suspects was a close
acquaintance, he said.
