NEWPORT-Lanes are being widened and constructed along
West Highway 25/70 as part of improvements being made to Highway 411, the
Tennessee Department of Transportation has reported.
As of June 15, the contractor, Charles Blalock &
Sons, Inc. had moved 700,000 cubic meters of dirt, as part of the construction
plan to move about 2.5 million cubic meters.
The $27,882,058 project is scheduled to be completed by
May 31, 2015, according to Mark Nagi of TDOT's public information department.
