Pizza Bandits Caught: Suspects charged by NPD after 2012 robberies


TOP: The driver of this 1994 Chevrolet Camaro, Tony Lee Sutton, 22, of 1567 East Highway
25/70, in Newport, was killed on Sunday, July 7, at 4 p.m. when his vehicle allegedly pulled
into the lane of travel of a 2012 Volvo tractor-trailer headed east on Highway 25/70, at
Clevenger Cut-Off Road, and driven by Delbert Ray Smith, 59, of Johnson City. A passenger
in the Camaro, Rachel Carver, 31, of 444 Highway 160, in Newport, was injured. Smith was
not injured.

CENTER: James Dylan Bradshaw, 20, the Stony Point, N.C. driver of this 1996 Isuzu Rodeo
was killed in a head-on collision with another vehicle on Highway 340, near Goodwater Road,
around 11:15 p.m. on Friday, July 5, the Tennessee Highway Patrol reported.

BOTTOM: Allen D. Williams, 48, of Parrottsville, the driver of this 1995 Ford RNS pickup truck,
and a passenger, Christie Williams, 42, of Parrottsville, were injured when, while traveling
south on State Highway 340, near Goodwater Road, on Friday, July 5, at 11:14 p.m., a 1996
Isuzu Rodeo headed in the opposite direction, and driven by James Dylan Bradshaw, 20, of
Stony Point, N.C. collided head-on with them in a curve in the southbound lane. Bradshaw was
killed in the wreck.

NEWPORT-Two men, one with a Newport address and one with a Morristown address, were charged on Friday, June 28 with the robbery at gunpoint of both a Papa John's pizza delivery man and the Little Caesar's pizza business in the Five Rivers Plaza.

Christopher Haney, 22, of 356 White Oak Ave., in Newport, was charged with two counts of aggravated burglary, and two counts of theft of property, according to the Cocke County Jail Annex.

Steven l. McKinney, 20, of Short Drive, in Morristown, was charged with two counts of aggravated robbery.

The two robberies occurred on Dec. 27, according to a report by Patrolman Derek Wright of the Newport Police Department.

Officers allegedly received a tip on June 28 that McKinney was at 3310 Breezy Hill Drive, in Kodak, the report stated.
