NEWPORT-Travis Dwight Banks, 23, of 1460 Halls Top Road,
in Newport, was arrested and charged with four counts of aggravated domestic
assault on Thursday, June 20, after he allegedly brandished a shotgun and
threatened to "blow the heads" off of his sister, two nieces, and his
sister's boyfriend, the Cocke County Sheriff's Department reported.
John Morgan, Banks' sister's boyfriend, had allegedly
stopped in front of the offender's residence on Halls Top Road to pick up Cathy
Banks, the offender's sister and the couple's children, Deputy Sheriffs Heath
Willis and Joey Owings, and Lt. Richard Caldwell, reported.
Banks then allegedly went into his residence and got a
12-gauge shotgun, and went to Halls Top Road where Morgan, Cathy Banks, and
their two children were, the report stated.
