NEWPORT-A Bybee man staying at the Family Inn on Cosby
Highway was arrested on Monday, June 17, after he allegedly posed as a police
officer and strip-searched a woman also staying at the motel, the Newport
Police Department reported.
Henry Lee Shults, 39, 774 Marshall Hollow Road, Bybee,
was arrested and charged with sexual battery, criminal impersonation (of a
police officer), and driving on a suspended license.
Shults reportedly came in contact with the victim after
her boyfriend got arrested, Det. Jason Ramsey reported.
Shults allegedly told the woman he "was doing what
he could to keep her out of jail", but he needed to search her, which he
did while she had her clothes on.
