NEWPORT-The popular Stokely Memorial Library's summer reading program is set to begin Thursday, June 13, with registration at 10 a.m. The first of six weekly programs will begin at 11 a.m.

This year's theme is "Dig into Reading," according to SML Director Meschelyn Barrett.

"We'll have programs for six Thursdays," said Barrett, "plus giveaways and contests. Participants who complete the program will receive a certificate and a reward."

The programs are free and open to children of all abilities. "Readers and listeners of all ages are welcome to enjoy story times and programs," continued Barrett.
