Parrottsville commissioners vote to change beer license ordinance

PARROTTSVILLE-Parrottsville City Commissioners voted unanimously Thursday to change the city's beer license ordinance.

The city's current ordinance allows only one beer license to a business that was grandfathered by already have a permit when the present ordinance was adopted.

Since that time, Parrottsville has expanded its city limits and new businesses have opened, including The Dollar Store on Hwy. 321.

"The Dollar Store has made a second request to sell beer," said Mayor Mary Keller, "and there is a possibility that other businesses will make the same request in the future."
