NEWPORT-Two women faced multiple charges in connection with the burglary of a Newport residence on April 17.

Detective Kevin Benton and Detective Paula Wilson charged Jerrica Lashae Jackson, 20, 4350 Cosby Highway, Newport, and Jacqueline Nicole Holt, 23, 1313 Shelia Drive, White Pine, on charges of burglary of the home of Arlene Walker, 1048 Old Greeneville Highway, Newport, and taking items belonging to Walker and to William Worley.

Benton and Wilson, in their report, stated they went to an address in Jefferson County to question someone regarding the incident and that upon their arrival, Jackson, who was at the residence, hid in a bedroom closet.
