KNOXVILLE-Celebrate Life, a local cancer support group
serving Cocke and Jefferson Counties, is the recipient of a $16,311 grant from
Susan G. Komen Foundation Knoxville Affiliate.
"This grant will help Celebrate Life continue our
outreach program to breast cancer patients in our area," said Celebrate
Life co-founder Michele Sexton. "The money will help us to supply snack
food to three cancer treatment centers, purchase supplies for our monthly
meetings as well as office supplies, and give much needed financial assistance
to patients undergoing treatment."
According to Sexton, Celebrate Life has received grant
funds from the Susan G. Komen Foundation since 2003 with an initial grant of
