NEWPORT-Former Newport city administrator Scott Collins is alleging more wrongdoings by a city alderman.

On Monday, Collins alleged that Alderman Freddie Gregg received a total of almost $1,400 from the City of Newport for three conferences and a graduation held out of town that he never attended.

When reached by phone Monday afternoon, Alderman Gregg said he had just received Collins' paperwork on the accusations. "I have no comment," he stated.

Collins said that Monday morning,  he dropped off a copy of his five-page letter addressed to City Attorney Terry Hurst with a City Hall employee at the front desk of City Hall, with the understanding it would be given to Hurst.
