After 44 years in banking and half a century at work, L. C. Gregg has retired with a plan to pursue many favorite interests.

In addition to his years working at several local banks, Lloyd Curtis Gregg, who turns 70, on May 20, has been involved in church, civic, and community events. He was the first chairman of the Cocke County Partnership and tourism board.

He holds dear his membership in First United Methodist Church where he has been a member since the mid-1960s and remains an avid outdoorsman.

Gregg's parents, Curtis and Geneva (Trentham) Gregg raised the children at Parrottsville. He was delivered by Dr. Lloyd Nease at the family's tenant home. Dad was usually a sharecropper.
