NEWPORT--Keep Cocke County Beautiful will sponsor their annual Spring Electronics Recycling event on Saturday, April 13, from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. in the Wal-Mart parking lot.

Scott Recycling will be the processor. All electronics and electrical equipment, except items containing Freon, will be accepted.

To recycle a television with a CRT projection tube, there will be a $10 disposal fee because of processing difficulties. There is no charge for any other recycling.

KCCB continues to encourage citizens to keep unwanted electronics and electrically powered equipment out of the Cocke County Landfill through this program.
