COSBY-Katie Stuart will be quick to credit members of the Newport Kiwanis Club for their support and help in her successes as a member of the Cosby Key Club.

Stuart, a senior at Cosby High School, finished her term as Key Club District Governor for Tennessee and Kentucky on March 17 after serving one year.

Her duties included working with 20 board members, who represented over 150 clubs in the district composed of over 5,000 members.

During her tenure, Stuart organized events, kept in contact with the clubs in her district, and served as a liaison between the board and the clubs. "Communication was my main thing," she said.

Stuart, daughter of Zane and Linda Stuart of Newport, joined Key Club at the beginning of her freshman year and quickly found her place.
