NEWPORT-The Cocke County Sheriff's
Department arrested an alleged drug dealer that had been the target of an undercover Oxycodone
conspiracy investigation in the past several months, a department report stated.
Margaret Johnson, 59, of 216 View Drive, in Newport, was arrested Wednesday,
March 27 and charged with possession of Schedule 2 for resale, according to the report.
Agents allegedly seized $10,293 in cash found hidden within the residence, a
2008 Pontiac G6, and numerous electronics and jewelry, according to the report.
Undercover agents utilizing confidential sources had made numerous purchases
of Oxycodone from Johnson at her residence in the past several months, the report stated.
