Eagles earn tie with region foe Elizabethton

COSBY-The Cosby Eagles delivered a firm message that they would be a contender in Region 1-A/AA this season.

Cosby battled to a 1-1 tie with a strong Elizabethton team in a matchup held on Tuesday night at Cosby High School. Allan Don Salazar scored the lone goal for the Eagles, who lost to the Cyclones by a 5-0 margin last spring.

The Eagles, who are 1-0-1 on the season and 0-0-1 in regional play will host first-year program West Greene on Thursday evening.

The match is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m.
