Cocke County Coroner Terry Jarnigan arrived at Dharma Tattoo on West
Broadway on Wednesday, March 20, to investigate the death of Bruce H.
Jones, 55, who was found lying in the back of the locked business on the
floor unresponsive at about 1:40 p.m.

NEWPORT-An employee of Dharma
Tattoo, a tattoo and body-piercing business at 322 West Broadway, found a 55-year-old man lying in
the back of the locked business on the floor unresponsive, on Wednesday, March 20, at about 1:40
p.m., the Newport Police Department reported. Police responded to
Dharma Tattoo on a complaint of an unresponsive male, Patrolman Travis Gorrell reported. Upon arrival, police spoke to an employee of the business who stated Jones was
lying in the back of the business on the floor unresponsive, the report stated. Police visually saw Jones on the floor, and entered the business by forcing
open the front doors. First Call EMS arrived and confirmed that, at 2 p.m., Jones had no vital
signs, according to the report. For more
