Capt. Danny Shelton of the Cocke County Fire Department directs a blast
of water at a flaming chimney. The county fire department sent two fire
engines to the Mike Epley home off Meadowview Way Thursday afternoon
about 5 p.m. because the upper chimney was engulfed in flames. Their
quick response extinguished the chimney fire and saved the home.
Firefighters on the scene included Jordy Self, Jacob Wines, and Lt. Mitch
Holdway.
