NEWPORT—Cocke County High School sophomore Andrew Robertson
was honored during his Eagle Scout ceremony at Cave Hill Baptist Church
Thursday evening.
Robertson, 16, is the son of Robert and Laura Robertson
of Parrottsville. He also has a sister, Breanna.
Andrew Robertson started with the Cub Scouts in August
2003 as a Tiger Cub. He progressed his way through the ranks of cub scouts
earning his Arrow of Light in February 2008. In April of 2008, he crossed over
to the Boy Scouts. He worked his way up the ranks until he earned his Eagle
Rank on December 6, 2012.
Robertson earned 31 merit badges during his time in Boy Scouts. His Eagle
Scout service project was for Cave Hill Baptist Church of Newport. The project
consisted of an area where they erected a play set for the youth of the church.
This also included a separate area that has a fire pit.
He is a member of NJROTC at CCHS and attends Cave Hill Baptist Church, where
he has been an usher for 3 years.
