NEWPORT-Directors of the Newport/Cocke County Economic
Development Commission's received updates regarding local industrial growth and
prospects from Cocke County Partnership President Don Hurst during their
February meeting.
Hurst told the board that partial leases are in place for
the county's spec building and for the NPI building and that the former Ace
building has been salvaged.
"It's a good industrial site," Hurst said,
"with a rail spur."
