NEWPORT-Local citizens received concise updates regarding national, state, and local governments personally delivered by elected leaders at Friday morning's Legislative Breakfast.

The third annual breakfast was sponsored by the Cocke County Partnership and held at Carson Springs Baptist Conference Center.

United States Rep. Phil Roe led the group of leaders who also included State Sen. Steve Southerland, State Rep. Jeremy Faison, Cocke County Mayor Vaughn Moore, Newport Mayor Connie Ball, and Parrottsville Mayor Mary Keller.

US Field Representative Lana Moore delivered updates from United States Senators Lamar Alexander and Bob Corker.
