NEWPORT-Members of the Newport/Cocke County Chamber of
Commerce had an enjoyable morning Tuesday when they gathered at the
Newport/Cocke County Community Center for their quarterly breakfast. Not only
did they enjoy a catered biscuits and gravy and all the trimmings meal, but
they also learned about the new water coaster, RiverRush, set to open in May at
Dollywood's Splash Country.
Teresa Karson, Dollywood Area Relations Director, greeted
the members and showed a PowerPoint program about the new entertainment.
Karson told the group RiverRush is a hydromagnetic
coaster, that "combines all of the powerful climbs, plunging drops,
thrilling twists, and tight turns of a traditional land coaster with the
waterpark's calling card-water-for the very latest in waterpark
experiences."
