Attempted marijuana sell at game nets arrest

NEWPORT-A 19-year-old man was arrested and charged with trying to sell marijuana to students who went to watch the Cosby High School/Jellico basketball game on Monday, Feb. 11, K9 Deputy Sheriff Chris Gregg reported.

A student allegedly alerted Deputy School Resource Officer Danny Reece that a black male was in possession of some marijuana, Gregg stated in his report.

Reece noticed the suspect had been leaving the ball game and other students were following him, according to Gregg's report.
