RUTLEDGE-The Cosby Eagles claimed the District 2-A championship
on Saturday with a 58-48 victory over Hancock County.
The game was tight the entire way until
early in the fourth, when Cosby was finally able to gain some breathing room.
“A lot was on
the line trying to get your best possible home region game next week,” Cosby head coach John Marsh
said. “I talked to them about the importance of not only winning another district
championship, but setting ourselves up nicely for next week.”
