NEWPORT-A Cocke County newspaper carrier voiced concerns
over the condition of Rocky Top Road to members of the Cocke County Highway
Commission on Tuesday.
Michael Zagaeski said the Rocky Top Road, from Log Church
Road to the U.S. Forest Service gate, is so rough it's making it hard for him
to make deliveries.
"They dumped piles of gravel up there about a month
ago but it was never graded out," said Zagaeski. "Also, someone is
making speed bumps in the road and putting their leaves and sticks out into the
road."
Road Superintendent Kenneth Ford said he would look at
the situation and try to get it resolved.
