Edmonds to discuss Common Core State Standards

NEWPORT-Cosby Elementary School Principal Christy Edmonds, a member of the Parent Involvement Advisory Board for the Cocke County School System, will discuss the Common Core State Standards on the WLIK morning radio program, "Around the Town with Rick" on Thursday, February 14, from 8:00-8:30 a.m.

Tennessee's State Board of Education adopted the Common Core State Standards (CCSS) in mathematics and English/language arts in July 2010.
