DANDRIDGE-A Newport teenager was injured in a two-vehicle
collision on state Highway 92 in Jefferson County that killed the driver of the
vehicle the teenager was in, on Saturday, Feb. 9, the Tennessee Highway Patrol
reported.
Ocean Phillips, 18, of Newport, was one of three people
injured, when at 6:50 p.m., on state Highway 92 at the intersection with West
Dumplin Valley Road, a Dodge Neon that Phillips was a passenger in pulled into
the path of a Pontiac Grand Prix, according to a report by THP Trooper Eric
Raines.
The driver of the 1998 Dodge, Megan D. Bowers, 26, of
Jefferson City, was killed in the crash.
