NEWPORT-A U.S. Army deserter with a Bybee residence was
arrested two days later after Cocke County deputy sheriffs located him at a
residence on Hidden Estates Way.
Derek Andrew Raleigh, 19, of 1739 Fowlers Grove Road, in
Bybee, allegedly deserted the U.S. Army on Dec. 5, 2012.
On Feb. 7, 2013, the Cocke County Sheriff's Department
said it received a fax from the U.S. Army Deserter Information Point stated
Raleigh had deserted.
Deputy sheriffs went to 141 Hidden Estates Way on a tip
that he had been living there, according to a report by Deputy Sheriff Zach
