Will Grooms, a Northwest Elementary School seventh-grader, will participate in the ET Schools Upper Area Junior Band Clinic in February.
Author: Duay O'Neil NEWPORT-Will Grooms, a seventh-grade student at Northwest Elementary School, will be among students participating in the East Tennessee Schools Band & Orchestra Directors Association's Upper Area Junior Band Clinic. The event will be held February 1-2 at Unicoi High School. Will, who plays alto saxophone, successfully auditioned one of six saxophone spots in the clinic before Christmas.
